Toile Cire'e recreated 14th Century French Floor Coverings

 All Art By Antosa ©™Hi!  My facination with14th Century French Floor Coverings 'Toile Cire'e' came after a special trip to Paris in 2010 with my Sister Mare-ona. I simply adored the trip which was the first 4 days of Springtime and we had a super artisticly relaxing, fun time & we both simply fell in love with and were inspired by Paris.   After the trip I decided to do a 360degree turn around and I changed my apartment into French shabby chic-ish? the end result are some of the floor coverings seen here And so my new passion & research into 14th Century French Floor Coverings began! But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams. 1899 W B Yeats I will over time share with you a little of the history of the 'Toile Cire'e which I hope will facinate you as much as it does me.
